feeling terror when my husband has an episode of dissociative amnesia

My husband suffers from a mental illness called dissociative amnesia. He has several dissociative episodes per week, in which he speaks in gibberish and manically fumbles around the house. He has no memory of the episode the following day. It’s terrifying to witness.
