God, I have no idea what courage is or where to get any, but I really need it.
help me in my fear.
Blessed are we who say, God,
fear is taking up too much space and I have little bandwidth left.
If courage is a gift, then please give it.
and it if is a thing for me to do, then show me how that goes.
Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. -John 14:1
for God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. -2 Timothy 1:7
..so it’s both? courage is what I do and at the same time it is given to me?
that is so like You God, to place us in the contradiction where deep listening must begin.
Blessed are we who say, thank you God, that You speak through Your Word, through others,
and you even speak through fear–that strange friend who tells us important things for our good. But it can’t tell us everything. it is but a sentinel, and not our heart’s home.
Sit, and let your fear speak.
Sit longer, and let your heart take courage.
