Both the beauty and brokenness that motherhood extracts from those who venture into the messy toil of co-creation. Mothering requires physical, mental, and emotional endurance, and many women are deciding that it’s too high of a price to pay. They do not yet know of the tenderness, closeness, and deep connectedness that accompanies them through the pain. There’s simply no cure for what it exacts, but there’s also no replacement for what it delivers.
