a lenten blessing in a pandemic

a lenten blessing in a pandemic

Oh God, so many are suffering beyond what they can bear

God, come quickly with help that is stronger than death

God have mercy

Christ have mercy

Spirit have mercy

o God you see the vulnerable ones

who battle what we dare not imagine

their caregivers

who fight with scarce resources

blessed are we

still in our relative ease

still jars of clay

but yet broken

who give to others

what we yet can give

who pray

boldly,

and love fiercely,

even as we shelter

The God of all comfort draws near in our troubles, and we give this same comfort to others in theirs.  2 Corinthians 1:3

God have mercy

Christ have mercy

Spirit have mercy

Feel it: It is the ground of your being –  God’s love for you and through you

2 Corinthians 4:7-8
